The Sparsr SDK
The Developer Zone is where you download the Sparsr SDK. You need the SDK to write your own kernels, the small programs that run on the Sparsr processor. It holds the assembler, the host library, the headers, working examples and the Sparsr VM, a model of the processor that runs on your own computer. The download is free, and it needs a free developer account.
You do not need the SDK to use the libraries
Sparsr’s high-level libraries, such as torchhd-sparsr for hyperdimensional computing, already contain the kernels they run. They do not need the SDK or a RISC-V compiler. torchhd-sparsr installs from PyPI with pip install torchhd-sparsr. The Hyperdimensional Computing section of the documentation says how to install each library.
For customers who license Sparsr hardware
If your organisation licenses Sparsr hardware, this site is for your developers too. They sign in here to download the SDK. For help, they use the Support page.
Our three sites
- sparsr.com explains what Sparsr is, what it is good for, and what it costs. It is for everyone, and you do not need a technical background to read it.
- docs.sparsr.com is the technical documentation. It covers installing the SDK and the libraries, writing kernels, and the instruction set. Anyone can read it, with no account.
- developers.sparsr.com, this site, is for downloads and support. The SDK download needs a free developer account.
